5. The inspiration

In the course of my search for solution I came across a phrase in one of the local newspapers which mesmerized me. The phase appeared under the heading "Interesting facts". It read "Squirrels plant millions of trees, accidentally".

I was not in a state to understand the complete context and meaning of the quote but something caught me when I read it. The phrase had energy, it had some sort of impact on my subconscious mind; may be because I could visualize the picture of squirrels playing in the bushes. They are not pets but yet the visualization drove me crazy in exploring more about them.

That day I searched for that phrase on the internet and found a list of million related articles. Conventionally, I chose the first one in the list and started reading it. It was a short paragraph explaining moral value that can be applied to real life. It read "Squirrels accidentally plant millions of trees, as they bury their nuts and forget where they are. Humans need to be like these squirrels, they should do good to others and forget it".

This small paragraph struck strings in my mind and there were vibrations of happiness, the bliss which I had not experienced in recent past. Without losing the energy I wanted to preserve the piece of paper that had energized me in the time I most needed.

When I was about to cut the newspaper, I came across an advertisement of a contest. It was Pet contest in my town. Cats & dogs were the only allowed pets for the contest. Without a doubt, Smiley was the first thought in my mind when I read the advertisement. I was day dreaming about winning the contest with Smiley. The prizes were also set - Winner: Rs. 50,000, Runner up: Rs. 25,000.

I had never been to such a contest in my life and now I did not have any thoughts to miss it! It was just 4 days away, on Sunday. I silently thanked the squirrels, the newspaper and the contest organizers and started to prepare for the contest.
